Tell The World 2013

Competition Overview
In South Australia, people aged 16 to 24 make up 12 per cent of the population, yet they account for 27 per cent of road fatalities and 30 per cent of serious injuries. Why young drivers are particularly at risk poses an important question. Issues like inexperience, poor hazard perception skills and risk taking all play a part.
RAA’s Tell the World competition, supported by the South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service, encourages high school students to investigate a road safety issue and explore ways to creatively present a safety message to their peers that could ultimately save the lives of their friends. This safety message can be displayed in the form of a billboard or video clip.
Winners will be decided by public vote, and the winners of each category and their school will be awarded a cash prize of $1,000. The winning billboard will also be displayed on a major road in Adelaide and the video will be featured on the RAA website.
Entries close 27 September.
