Charging an EV at home

Trouble with your EV? We can help

  • All levels of RAA Road Service cover electric vehicles, from hybrids to full battery electric vehicles (BEVs).
  • Our patrols are trained to work with EVs at the roadside. They know what to look out for, so they can get EVs back on the road, just like petrol and diesel vehicles.
  • You can use your Road Service Towing Benefit¹ to help tow your EV to the nearest charging station.
  • There's no extra cost for EV Road Service call-outs.

RAA Road Service for business covers your company vehicle, no matter who’s behind the wheel.

We offer three types of Road Service for business:

  • Fleet Road Service, with an annual fee per vehicle.
  • Fee For Service, with pay-as-you-go costs.
  • Taxi Road Service, with an annual fee per vehicle.

There’s strength in numbers – and savings too

Did you know you can save by bundling your family’s Road Service products together for up to 5 people?

  • One member of the family is nominated as the primary card holder, and is responsible for Road Service payments, and product communications with RAA, including renewals.
  • The primary card holder pays the normal price for the level of Road Service they choose, and each of the other members receives a $10 discount on their Road Service.
  • Each member can choose from three levels of Personal Road Service, outlined in the table above.
  • It’s a great option for families and couples on a budget.

Did you know our Road Service covers mobility scooters too?

No matter what level of Road Service you have, we’ll keep your mobility scooter moving as well, for no extra cost.

If the problem can’t be solved roadside, we’ll organise a taxi to take you and your scooter to a safe location or place of repair.

Please note:

  • Service does not include assistance in lifting a person in or out of their mobility scooter.
  • Service in shopping centres and other buildings needs to be in an area that's suitable and practical for our patrols to attend, such as an outside entrance or a car park.
  • The taxi benefit can be used once per incident and is separate from the RAA Premium taxi benefit that applies after vehicle breakdown/towing.

¹Your Towing Benefit will differ depending on which level of Road Service you have. See our Road Service Personal Entitlements Guide for details.
