Travelling with Kids / Convertible Safety Seats

To provide maximum protection for children travelling in vehicles, it is important to choose the right restraint for the child's size. It is important that a child outgrows one type of restraint before moving to the next type of restraint.

Standards Australia approve a range of restraints suitable for newborns to 4 year olds. Although the RAA does not recommend convertible seats for newborn babies, a convertible seat is recommended as the next restraint after the Baby Safety Capsule, for children from 6 months to approximately 4 years of age.
