Travelling with Kids / Booster Seats
To provide maximum protection for children travelling in vehicles, it is important to choose the right restraint for the child's size. It is important that a child outgrows one type of restraint before moving to the next type of restraint.
Standards Australia approve a range of booster seats suitable for children from approximately 4 years to 6- 8 years. A booster seat should only be used once a child has outgrown their child safety seat. Children should remain in a booster until they can wear an adult seatbelt correctly. New child restraints laws, introduced October 2010, are currently in effect and penalties now apply.

RAA only recommends the use of a Protecta Harness with Booster Seats that feature an anti-submarining clip (such as the Hiliner) when there is only a lap belt available.
May be used on the vehicle seat (once the child has outgrown a booster seat) where there is only a lap belt, until 32kg (approximately 10 years of age)
