How does RAA’s Personal Alert System Work?

  1. What’s in thebox?

  The system includes a base unit and a waterproof neck pendant or wrist band.

  The pendant/wrist band has a range of 300 metres and can be worn around the house, in the garden, and even in the shower.

  Please note: it has a limited range so will not work when you are away from your home e.g. walking around the block, going shopping, visiting friends

  2. Press the button

  When help is needed the wearer simply presses the button on the monitoring unit, or on the neck pendant or wrist band.

  This will connect them directly to RAA Secure Services, 24/7 monitoring centre.

• 

  3. Monitoring Centre

  The consultant will first attempt to talk to the resident through the speaker in the base unit.

  Whether or not the consultant can contact the resident, they’ll quickly assess the situation and respond accordingly.

• 

  4. Help at hand

  Depending on the situation we'll contact emergency services, or the resident's nominated contacts.

  If we're unable to determine the nature of the situation, or we can't locate a nominated contact person, we'll automatically arrange for an ambulance to be sent. Your safety and dignity is our priority.
