Changes to our member benefits program
As of 23 April 2024, we were no longer partnered with Simply Energy as part of our member benefits program.
While we've partnered with Simply Energy for nearly 15 years, we're always looking at ways we can make life better for our members. We know energy prices are a major concern for South Australians, and we don’t think traditional energy companies have always been great at putting customers first.
We're now partnering with a different energy company to offer our members a fairer deal on electricity.

Why has RAA ended its partnership with Simply Energy?
We're on a mission to make energy cheaper, cleaner and fairer.
With the rising costs of living, it's become clear that the average energy plan just isn't working for South Australians, the environment or the future of energy.
A recent inquiry into the National Electricity Market by Australia's independent consumer watchdog (the ACCC) found that almost 80 per cent of residential customers could be paying less for their energy. Hundreds of customers who've stayed loyal to their retailer are now worse off, and those offered seemingly attractive large conditional discounts aren't always saving money.
We want more for our members.
So now we're partnering with Energy Locals to offer RAA members a fairer deal on electricity.

I'm currently getting the Simply Energy RAA member discount. How am I affected?
We know this may have come as a surprise. This change won't have affected your electricity or gas supply. If you're a Simply Energy customer and choose not to switch retailers, Simply Energy will continue to be your energy retailer.
