Driver Education

Improving your driving skills

Refresher lessons for seniors

SA’s driving laws and driver training techniques have probably changed a lot since you first got your licence. A 60 or 90 minute lesson with one of our instructors will help refresh your driving skills, and give you the confidence to know you’re up to date with the latest rules and regulations.

Safe Driver Program

In 2.5 hours of theory, we’ll cover;
  • Identifying key risk factors by explaining common crash causes
  • Developing strategies to anticipate and avoid hazards
  • Understanding safe braking, reaction times and stopping distances
This will be followed by an instructive 2 hour drive on busy city roads and quieter country roads.

Get a free 1hr driving lesson through keys2drive, a national program funded by the Federal Government and run by RAA’s national body, the Australian Automobile Association.

Beginner drivers, and a parent or supervisor, will get together with an accredited instructor and learn the best ways to practice, how to handle nerves, and much more.

Safe caravan/trailer use

Towing and reversing a caravan or trailer requires specific skills.
In this course we cover;
  • Attaching and disconnecting a caravan/trailer safely
  • Understanding safe driving while towing
  • Reversing using mirrors
  • Reversing with guidance
  • Legal requirements
We’ll also show you how to securely set up your caravan when you pull into a campsite.

International licence conversion

Some overseas licences can be transferred directly to an SA Licence, but road rules differ greatly between countries. After 60 minutes with one of our instructors, you’ll have a much better understanding of the rules and regulations that apply on South Australian roads.

Member $85, Non-member $95

Holders of some overseas licences will need to pass a theory test, a hazard perception test and a practical test to qualify for an SA Licence. If you fail the test, you’ll need to apply for a learner’s permit.

Our instructors can provide you with the training you’ll need to progress from a learner’s permit to a Provisional licence.

Fleet driver training

Our fleet safety workshops or one-on-one training sessions can help improve driver skills and reduce the cost of vehicle-related accidents.
