Working together to fight hunger in South Australia

We’ve partnered with Foodbank SA to help tackle food poverty across the state. Foodbank is the largest food relief organisation in South Australia, providing food relief to over 135,000 South Australians every month.

Help Us Pack 300 Christmas Hampers for South Aussie Families

Join us at Westfield this November to help RAA and Foodbank SA bring a little Christmas joy to local families who need it most.

The festive season should be a time for sharing a table with the people you love, but for many South Australian families, putting food on that table is a real struggle. This November, RAA and Foodbank are teaming up to pack 300 Christmas hampers for families in our community, and we’d love your help to get there.

Come say hello, drop off a donation and watch the hampers come together at three locations:

Thursday 12 November: West Lakes, Out the front of the RAA Shop

Thursday 19 November: Marion, in the carpark near the Aldi entrance

Thursday 26 November: Tea Tree Plaza, in the charity area near the Woolworths entrance

How You Can Help

Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. When you stop by one of our hamper packing sites, you can give:

Food donations: non-perishable pantry staples and festive treats that will fill hampers and Christmas tables
Money donations: which help Foodbank buy fresh and essential items where they’re needed most

Together, your generosity will help RAA and Foodbank support local families this Christmas.

Our Mobile Food Hubs collect and deliver thousands of donations for those in need

We've hosted six RAA Foodbank Food Drives across our metro RAA shops since 2020. This has raised more than 125,000 meals for those in need.

Our Mobile Food Hubs

Our RAA Foodbank Mobile Food Hubs are fighting hunger in metro and regional South Australia. The Mobile Food Hubs are grocery stores on wheels, providing low cost and free food (including free bread, fruit and vegetables) to support individuals and families in need. Customers are referred to the Mobile Food Hubs by local charities, schools and community groups.

The custom-built trucks are fitted out with shelving, fridges and storage spaces and each carry up to two tonnes of stock, providing a dignified shopping experience for those experiencing food insecurity.

The regional RAA Foodbank Mobile Food Hub visits towns in the Riverland – Barmera, Berri, Loxton, Renmark, Waikerie, Peterborough, Kadina and Clare. The metro RAA Foodbank Mobile Food Hub visits Barossa, Beulah Park, Lobethal, Mount Barker, Modbury, Paradise, Seaford, Aldinga and Victor Harbor.

Our RAA Foodbank Mobile Food Hubs distributed more than 500,000 meals in 2024.
